Born in Galicia, Spain, Gemma studied in BA (honours)  Film & Video, Masters Fine Art Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design  at UAL and PGCE in Art & Design at Goldsmiths University of London..started training as a gardenerin 2021, doing the Maintenance Gardener City and Guilds course, followed by RHS Certificate in Practical Horticulture and currently, she is  finishing RHS  Theory Plant Growth and Development at Capel Manor Regents Park.  she lives and works in London as a freelance artist and gardener.

Her practice encompasses photography and video. Her video “Congo 1880” was selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries. Pardo had her first major commission from Film and Video Umbrella, ‘Finisterre’, which went on to form part of an exhibition touring with the works of  M.W. Turner and Bonnington. Her installation ”Untitled” was selected for the exhibition Latent Talent and now is part of the permanent collection in MACE (Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa) Spain. Since then, she has collaborated with different artists and shown her work in several art galleries and museums around the world. She has being planing trees and taking care of natural spaces since 2020.
